It's not easy to upstage Diahann Carroll, but Marilyn Monroe dominates this whole photograph as she appears caught up in the magic of Carroll's spell. The event was a birthday party for one of the Kennedy brothers (President John F., or brother Bobby) taken sometime between 1960-62. Probably intoxicated with lust and certainly used to "black magic", Kennedy brother-in-law, actor Peter Lawford is seen standing right above Monroe wiping the sweat off his brow. It just occured to me that that might be actress Joan Bennett seated next to Monroe.
