What a stunning looking woman! This photograph (and others like it) proves the beauty of black women has ALWAYS been a staple in our society.

Thank you, Carol.
And you KNOW THAT ! ! ! ! ! !
Ms. Brown's beauty far surpassed just the physical. The only other bit of information that I was able to find on her said that, by 1920, she was vice president of the National Ass. of Negro Musicians. You can read the confidence in her face that says I MAY KNOW HOW TO WORK IT - BUT I'M MORE THAN JUST A PRETTY FACE!

It's amazing how you're able to find all of this fascinating history Corey. My family (hubby and three boys) have become fans and subscribers of your blog!

Carol, I've been keeping track of your comments and I'd like to thank you for your support. I welcome your family with open arms and look forward to (occasionally and hopefully) hearing from them, too. In addition, Carol, if you're a blogger or operate your own website, please feel free to leave a trackback, URL or link.

Thanks!
C.
