Serge Nubret, one of the most fierce and blackest of panthers, and certainly one of the most beautiful men to ever grace planet Earth, passed away in France on April 19th! He was 72. Depending on the source, he was either in a "persistant vegetative state" or "in and out of a coma" since 2009. According to most of the same sources, the Caribbean born gladiator either died of natural causes, or of complications from poisoning by greedy children intent on swindling their inheritance money. *And if the latter is not true, please, please forgive me and accept my apologies!
As one of the last great titans, Nubret was also internationally renowned as one of the greatest bodybuilders in the game. He was also a teacher, mentor, author and actor many films - most notably Pumping Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Forget Arnold Schwarzenegger! I want to see Nubret as Rator in the 1961 film, The Titans. Not available in the U.S., it is commercially available in France, and thanks to a friend on Facebook, I'm about to get my hands on a copy. But right now, I have to be content with the video from the movie that's currently featured on Youtube. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY ! !

For most of his adult life, Serge Nubret wore many titles, but has now entered into his rest and taken his rightful place in the Iconosphere. Having represented the Universe , I am sure it welcomes him lovingly! May he rest in peace!
