Most of us agree with MSNBC contributor, Goldie Taylor that President Barack Obama never should have had to acquiesce and show his free papers-birth certificate to a beligerent and suspicious "birther movement" America this week. But he felt he had to so he did!
Taylor explains ..........
"When they tell you that this isn't racial, don't believe them. This controversy was constructed soley as a way to delegitimize the presidency of a black man. Those who question Barack Obama's birth are clearly the same people who would pack up and move out of a neighborhood if somebody like me moved in next door. They're the same people who'd believe African Americans were better suited on a basketball court than a boardroom. When they say they want to take 'their country' back, they mean from us."

But that means that when it's election time and campaigning time and petition-signing time, I must do more the just talk--I MUST WORK!

Re-election time will tell the story - won't it?! Maybe all this is happening for a reason - to awaken the more apathetic to the reality that there is still WORK TO DO, and to REMIND the rest of us that the WORK has only just begun. Either way, the message is the same, and I just hope we're paying attention.
